The recent KazanForum 2025 marked a pivotal moment for Malaysia-Russia collaboration, and VeecoTech Solutions, under the leadership of Managing Director Alain Lye, played a significant role in this transformative journey.

During the forum, which highlighted the immense potential for bilateral growth in technology, green energy, and smart manufacturing, VeecoTech had the opportunity to establish strategic partnerships aimed at driving innovation.

Alain Lye inked Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with several key Russian entities:

  • Kazan IT Park: The first technopark in the Russian Federation focused on creating solutions and developing companies in the field of information technology. This partnership is set to enhance Malaysia’s digital ecosystem through cross-border collaboration.
  • ICL Group: A powerhouse in enterprise-grade IT solutions, this collaboration aims to supercharge Malaysia’s digital landscape by integrating advanced technologies and expertise.

VisionLabs: A global pioneer in facial recognition and computer vision. Together, VeecoTech and VisionLabs plan to co-develop and commercialise AI-driven computer vision applications in the ASEAN region.

These partnerships align with the broader goals of the forum, which was also attended by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, emphasising the commitment of both nations to foster innovation and technological advancement.

Alain Lye shared with the team, “Visiting Russia was such an impactful experience, especially representing Malaysia in establishing partnerships with global giants, we are very excited about bringing innovations into the ASEAN market.”
