The Challenge: Building Keyword Strategy & Attracting The Right Audience
As Eng Kah revamped their website, they enlisted VeecoTech’s SEO expertise to boost the new site’s visibility. The ultimate goal: Increase organic traffic and generate quality leads.
Moreover, Eng Kah was looking to refine their keyword strategy. While they had initially ranked for terms such as “perfume manufacturer”, they wanted to be known for specific keywords such as “oem manufacturer” and “oem skincare manufacturer”.
This step would help Eng Kah build credibility and increase brand awareness as a leading Malaysian OEM and ODM manufacturer. This move was also to align their online presence with their expanded range of services: manufacturing skincare, perfume, colour cosmetics, personal care, and home care products.
To sum it up, Eng Kah faced two major challenges:
- Improve online visibility of their new website to their target B2B audience (brands / individuals who want to partner with and manufacture products with them).
- Rank for relevant high-intent keywords that can help them reach their target B2B audience.
Here’s What We Did
1. Understand Search Intent + Conduct Targeted Keyword Research
To kickstart our process, we held a consultation session with Eng Kah. During the meeting, we learned more about their business background, structure, target audience, and goals. From there, we did in-depth keyword research.
We then recommended a strategic set of keywords based on the following factors:
- Search Volume: We selected keywords with a substantial search volume. We took into consideration the cost, competitiveness, and business value of the keyword, prioritising keywords with low-cost, low-competition, and high-business-value.
- Search Intent: Search intent is the main goal or purpose behind a person’s online search. 2. Create High-Quality, Click-Worthy Content
One of our key strategies for Eng Kah was creating quality, SEO-friendly blog content. Our team focused their efforts on:
- Optimising blog structures. We ensured that the blog structures were SEO-optimised, covering everything from organised HTML headings (H1, H2, H3 tags), to optimised titles and meta descriptions, to sufficient external and internal links.
- Crafting content based on Google’s E-E-A-T, which stands for Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness. By following this simple guideline, we ensured higher readability for users and better visibility to Google crawlers.
